På fredagseftermiddagen svensk tid lanserade Usher en ny interaktiv video, med ett ställningstagande kring polisbrutalitet och de de dödskjutningar av unga svarta män som blivit alltför vanligt förekommande i USA senaste åren med Trayvon Martin och många andra i färskt minne. Med Nas och Bibi Bourelly​ släpper de nu “Chains” som uppladdning inför Tidal-spelningen Tidal X 1020 på Barclays Center den 20:e oktober (se poster/affisch nedan).

“In writing this song, I was motivated by the events involving prejudicial injustice that are still happening today. The reality is that racial bigotry diminishes the lives of too many people in our country. We have to come together as a country to solve these problems and this is one way I can contribute.”
