Chance The Rapper släpper nya mixtapet “Coloring Book” – gästas av Kanye West, Future, Jay Electronica med flera

Hyllar samtidigt Kanye: "...the greatest artist of this generation"

Under veckan har Chance The Rapper varit i fokus med den stundande releasen av nytt mixtape som nu finns ute via Apple Music. Tapet gästas av Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Future, Eryn Allen, Kirk Franklin, Young Thug och Jay Electronica.

Att Chance är en av industrins största Kanye West-supportrar är i sig ingen nyhet, men under en ny intervju med Complex Magazine förser Chano sin beundran med en röst, samtidigt som han kommenterar artisters skyldighet (eller avsaknaden därav) att dela med sig av sina bedrifter:

“There’s not really a responsibility at all to tell people of your accomplishments, but I think in Kanye’s situation, it’s Kanye West. If I was the greatest artist of this generation and a few past generations and a few generations going forward, I would probably say it all the time. Especially if I was black and people didn’t really like me. I’d be like ‘Let me remind you all the fuckin’ time’… I think it’s about being a polarizing figure. So that 200 years from now when nobody really remembers any of our names, people will talk about him being an asshole and also being great.”

De två Chicago-ikonerna tycks inte ha något annat än positiva saker att säga om varandra, och verkar även ha utvecklat en ganska nära relation ända sedan samarbetet med musiken på “The Life of Pablo.” Så sent som igår färdigställde Chance sin efterlängtade uppföljare till 2013:s “Acid Rap:”
